2021 has presented unfathomable challenges to Santa Fe and her residents. We continue to live under restrictions as we await the vaccinations on a wide scale that will offer us at least a glimpse of promise for a safer future. Many of you have either suffered health impacts from the virus personally, or have lost loved ones. Our condolences are continually extended.
Meanwhile, our annual meeting was held earlier this year on Zoom. Hilario Romero joined the board, and unfortunately, Barbara Fix left the board due to other commitments which dominate her busy life.
Randall Bell continues as President of the board, along with Mary Ellen Degnan, Vice-President.
For a refresher on our political climate, as we move toward a new election cycle this fall, you might find it helpful to look back at OSFA's previous election participation in order to re-assess the current administration's accomplishments, albeit while severely hamstrung by the effects of governing during Covid.
Mayor, Alan Webber's administration has soldiered on, with City Hall undergoing re-structuring and creative challenges.
We continue to reach out to the powers-that-be in order to insure that our city retains the historic flavor and integrity that gives it world-wide fame. The practice of hindsight is always helpful to remind us of both political process and promises.
